Friday, March 13, Skelly will send a team of 10 Servant Messengers to Vietnam. I’ll be sharing some of what we intend to do while serving the people of Vietnam. If you would like to read about our trip to Vietnam from last year go to the Vietnam page to find the links.
Also, you can look at pictures in my Photoblog of Vietnam March 2008 or Flickr set of the same pics.

Art,
I really like the designation of Servant Messengers to describe your missions team. That communicates powerfully. We recently had 10 folks return from a trip to Guatemala where we’re part of an ongoing partnership with Baptists in the western region of the country.
I also caught a couple of photos of you and your bike riding exploits that Jason posted on his blog. Way to go!

Marty – Thanks!
Gary – That has been a verbal cue for us to change our way of thinking. We have this idea from our own church and denominational culture that “Missionaries” are on another spiritual level and thus, we could never be one. So when I say, “we are all Missionaries,” there is a disconnect. People don’t buy that.
But “servant messenger” is a phrase people can buy into. It’s also a better descriptor of how we do what we do than any other phrase – at least in my opinion.
As for the cycling, thanks for the encouragement. I need all I can get!
