That&#039;s certainly true.  Most church members don&#039;t look at the church, even the Institutional Church, as something they don&#039;t enjoy.  But I think you may be assuming that I am pressing every part of the situation into a perfect analogy.  I&#039;m not.

As you well know, analogies are never exact matches.  What is true in them is true and what is not true is not true.

I would hate for anyone to assume that I think the Institutional Church is like a prison for Christians.  It certainly isn&#039;t.

I am only trying to draw out some truths about institutions in general and what we can glean there is possibly helpful here.</description>

		<description>I sense a bit of difference in this one. I don&#039;t think most inmates feel like the prison is there for their personal enjoyment. Too many churchmembers seem to think that.

A couple years ago FBC started an early (8am) &quot;Old Time Gospel Hour&quot; service. Use the hymnal, no praise choruses, preach out of the KJV, pass the plates (the other services, we have offering boxes and otherwise hadn&#039;t passed the plate since 2/2/2000). The first Sunday, a man who had been visiting for something over 10 years, joined the church. 

He said &quot;You finally have a service I like&quot;.
