As a kid our youth group would take trips to Red Rock canyon. My parents own a cabin near a little lake close by, so the red dirt, cacti and bamboo all bring back some really fond memories.

My wife used to go there for school projects and field trips. In fact, she has an infamous story about a field trip there.
She was suspended for accidentally shooting a classmate with a pellet gun there in High School on a Science class field trip. It is a family legend. :)
