So, we are doing well. Having a great time. Sleeping some. Not much, but some. :)
Falls Creek does a superb job of organization and execution. It’s awesome.
We have a Journeyman Missionary coming tonight during devotional. Journeymen are college grads who spend the next two years after school overseas serving with the IMB. Falls Creek has a tremendous history with teenagers being called to missions from their camp experience.
Being that we are trying to shape a Missional mindset in our church, that we are trying to engage glocaly (global/local) with projects in our neighborhood, Mexico and Vietnam, I thought it would be good to have a young missionary share with our kids.
Also, we have engaged a couple of our teenagers, Emily Berndt and David Dotson, as Youth Counselors during the response time. We want as many people as we can to experience God at work through them. That’s contagious.
Lo, and behold! It worked. Emily led a young lady to the Lord for the first time in her (Emily’s) life. We had to peel her off of the ceiling. And guess what? She turned around and infected the rest of the group that night during devotional.
Awesome.
Here is a gallery of pictures, all courtesy of Bret Carder – one of our Adult Sponsors – who has been much more faithful to take pictures than I.
Some of the pictures are of people against the wall. We have a “mailbox” system that consists of a plastic shoe rack and everyone draws names to get a prayer partner during the week. This person is anonymous until the end of the week. They leave encouraging notes in the slots all week long. Anyway, the pictures go on the front of the mailbox, and I thought I would show you a few who displayed a little personality in their pic.

Thanks for your prayers.
