Republican and Christian are not synonymous. Not only are there plenty of "hellbound Republicans" but there will be plenty of heavenbound Democrats. Last time I checked our political affiliation had nothing to do with our eternal salvation though way too many folks are confusing that issue these days. That said, I do believe that if the church were raptured out you would find a significant move away from God's truth and away from issues such as sanctity of life issues. I agree with Joe.
