Non-Raptured: Politics
Jun 12th, 2008 | By art rogers | Category: General Christian, WeirdOk, so one of the blogs I read is from a Christian Radio Host, Brian Hanson, who comes up with some really “out there” websites from “Christian” folks.
Well, one website has a graphic depicting the potential Presidential election if the church were “raptured” this year:

However, if Jesus swings by and takes us out for a few years, the Electoral College is apt to look like this:

He overestimates the number of true Christians in the United States. I think there will be plenty of hell-bound Republicans left to vote for McCain. =)
I agree with Joe. Republican and Christian are not synonymous. Not only are there plenty of “hellbound Republicans” but there will be plenty of heavenbound Democrats. Last time I checked our political affiliation had nothing to do with our eternal salvation though way too many folks are confusing that issue these days. That said, I do believe that if the church were raptured out you would find a significant move away from God’s truth and away from issues such as sanctity of life issues.
For the record, I agree with ya’ll, that there will be plenty of Republicans in Hell and neither Brian Hanson nor myself endorsed this particular view, just referenced the website.
Never thought you endorsed it. I figured you just did it to promote thought and discussion. Worked for me. God bless.
I suspect our buddies over at the LDS church are going to object…..
