No. I’ve been researching for a couple of weeks and couple of nights up late writing. I wrote quite a few on Friday.

I have noticed that Bonnie has started to remark about me “blogging again” as in like I did once upon a time a couple of years ago. You remember that, I suppose.

That’s a sign to slow down, but I’m almost done with this.

Categories are part of the structure of your blog. They are integrated into the sidebar and were originally the only way to group posts.

Tags have come along and serve almost the same purpose, but tags can be put on anything: pictures, posts, other media, and it becomes part of the metadata that the programs read.

For instance, at the bottom of this post and at the bottom of my feeds there are lists of related posts. These are generated by plugins that find tags that are the same, but they don’t look at categories. Though they are similar, categories are less emphasized.

I don’t know why, but maybe some tech guru will come along and tell us.

Use whatever tags you have or make some new ones up. Whatever keywords are appropriate to the post.

And I’m still forgetting about tags and have to go back and redo them.

Unfortunately I’m one of those people who “forget” about tags. I seem to get really excited about the post I am very eager to hit the post button.
I’ve tried adding posts more recently. and have noticed a difference in visitor stats. But I get confused with what tags to use.
