For tracking I am trying Wassup http://www.wpwp.org. Works great as a basic analytics tool for WP 2.5. Best of all, so far it is not messing up my other Analytics software.

When something like this happens, it is usually a template issue. Marty, you should use the automatic upgrade plugin to walk you through the upgrades, since you haven't upgraded since the stone age. It'll take you through backing up your files, downloading new ones, etc. That all happens step by step, or you can click one link and it will do everything for you. I've got a LOT more stuff about effective blogging that I've learned over the last week or so. More info coming.
