This is my daughter, Hannah, doing her nails. She is ten and just started this attention to feminine details. I am quite disturbed. :|

A few weeks ago, we had to put our dog to sleep. Knowing this was coming, we made some plans about getting some puppies after we said good-bye. These are Daisy and Dodge, Beagles who are beyond cute. Wouldn’t you agree? Dodge is the boy who is tones of brown. Daisy has sable and brown markings.

I promise pictures in the coming weeks that will feature my son and the puppies. I don’t know how he managed to avoid being in the pictures, but he did. I’ll get him next week.

    Art,

There is no other dog but a Beagle — our Lucy — that we brought with us when we moved from Texas – defines cuteness! But — she was borned in Oklahoma – Idabel – to be excact so when we moved here — she was coming home! I will say this: She did leave part of her heart in Texas!

My wife loves the pictures — and so do I. Looks like you have been blessed with a cute little daughter as well!

    Bless you, CC

I have a bit of a different take on Beagles. Our neighbor has one and they have the most constant and annoying yelp/bark. Maybe Dr. Cruce can give you some pointers on that. As for me, I love my boxers.

My daughter will turn 10 in November. *sigh* Three more years and she’ll be a teenager. It’s just not fair.

    Paul,

Need I remind you that the most famous dog in the world is a Beagle – created by fellow Oklahoman, Charles Schulz years ago!

FYI – if you want to know what dog looks like after it runs head-on into a car, look at a boxer!

I might add — You don’t know what a *sigh* really is until you get ready to send a son off to college as we are getting ready to do: it is unbelieveable sadness! But we still have our granddaughter, — our Beloved Beagle — Lucy!

Hey, that looks like a mature, independent little lady! I love the story that ran in Time/Newsweek some time back; the dad looks into the cradle at his little girl for the very first time and a single thought forms in her mind – “Sucker!!”

You also have been blest with some good old dogs. My Roscoe is mostly Beagle and reads our minds while we read his. I used to wish dogs would learn to speak English, but y’know, a real dog doesn’t have to, English would only get in the way.

    Art,

I have 4 of them myself…daughters not dogs. My oldest just turned 9…she thinks she is 16. She likes to daily inform me of the boy she plans to marry. I think she does this because she likes to watch me squirm just thinking about it. I still own her heart right now though. Enjoy it while you can. They grow up way too fast.

Regarding dogs – Our most recent dog is a mix from the humane shelter. He and other shelter adoptees I have known have made me a believer in rescuing unwanted dogs. After being cast out of previous homes, they seem to understand how much they are now loved and how well they are cared for and in return give massive amounts of loyalty. Just my personal observation.

    To God be the glory,
    Michael
