Let these stones be a witness to what we have done here this day.

Why not?

Interesting perspective this morning. I was eating breakfast and listening to as well as engaging in conversations around me. One older gentleman was raving about taking a limo to John Hagee’s church yesterday. I kept silent.

I noticed that there were quite a few not in attendance at the Pastor’s Conference. Neither was I. I got up and was working out at 7:00 am and then by 9:00 am I was eating a late breakfast. Two people said that they weren’t bothering to go to the Pastor’s Conference. They wondered aloud why they sent the same folks with the same things to say up every year. The thing that caught my attention was that these people were not of “my” generation, but were older. One would have been from the Resurgence generation, for sure.

Marty Duren got here. We are heading for the Executive Committee meeting in a couple of minutes. I’ll let you know what’s up, if anything, from there.

I think the organizers don’t intend/expect everyone to attend every message. I remember at the Florida Baptist Convention they had 4 guys in a room (with congregational squeezed in between) that morning, and I think it was the second pastor who nailed me between the eyes. I needed to leave for extended meditation and prayer on what he said to us.
