We held our last “VBS” in Canales today. Tomorrow, we will finish out their brand new school. Tomorrow night and Friday morning we will begin to make our way back to Tulsa in different cars.
I shared the Gospel at VBS yesterday and today. I was excited that some were riveted, but it broke my heart that so many were disinterested. It was so clear that many of them were completely lost and had no idea that they were. I keep reminding myself that I am doing all that I can. The real power is in God’s hands. Then I wonder if I really am doing all that I can.
Please pray for the souls of these dear ones. They have no church near no hope for anything like it anytime soon. I would like to plant a church here. Pray about it.

I don’t know if the proximity to the border jades people or not. I know that several places that I’ve been others have been. I’m always looking for some place that we can continue to go and build relationships. I think it’s hard to tell someone about a faithful God when His people don’t come back, and they see that over and over. I applaud your desire to plant a church there. Wanna go to Uganda this fall and help train indigenous church planters?

Nothing you can do about the disinterested (actually UNinterested) folks. God’s victory is in the salvation; yours is in the telling.
You done good. It’d be just like God to let you build a church there. I’m looking forward to it.

Just do it! If the Lord has led you there in the first place it is because He has greater plans than a short mission trip. His will is clear about the matter: GO, MAKE DISCIPLES, BAPTIZE, AND TEACH. If your church doesn’t, who will?

Virtual mission trip with genuine opportunity to share/blog the gospel with/to folks indicating they need to know it (follow the link to an article about the Lord Jesus NOT resurrecting from the dead): http://time-blog.com/middle_east/?xid=site-cnn-partner

Still on a virtual mission trip at the blogsite linked above. When I started about 1 1/2 hours ago, there were just over 200 postings discussing whether or not Jesus actually rose from the dead (in response to a Time posting discussing a James Cameron documentary to the contrary); now there are over 400 posts in the thread! Christians definitely seem in the minority, and not all of them are being polite in their responses.
