Iced
Tuesday, January 16th, 2007 @ 12:48 pm

We’re in the midst of what appears to be a near week long ice over in the city of Tulsa. These are pictures of my truck, which has been in the driveway. We have had three waves of ice that are now two days past. Nevertheless, we are sill in the midst of sunny skies and closed schools.
All the white that you see is ice. No snow fell during the weekend. Eastern OK is full of folks without power, which also means no heat. We are grateful that we still have power - just a few flickers throughout the weekend.
I’ll be back with everyone soon. ![]()

Waiting in a winter wonderland….Ice, Ice Baby
Of course if that was a Ford, you could actually drive.
The maternity wards will be besieged nine months hence; it always happens.

Art,
We had a great weekend stuck at home because of the storm, and fortunately we did not lose electricity. Did you have services Sunday?
At our house, we have this room. It prevents snow and ice from building up on the cars. Works great! I just pull into my driveway, and drive right into the room, next to Lisa’s car. Then I close the door, and the room temperature stays a consistent 15-20 higher than the outside temperature. Awesome stuff.
You should see my car :>)

Believe it or not, Tim, I don’t. It was a phenomenal deal on a 6 mos old used truck, which I took at a great price, but without a hemi.
Oh well. It’s still a great truck.

Jason,
We did not have services Sunday, and it looks like none tomorrow either. Do you know of any churches that DID have service? Ch 6. quit airing church closings because their were so many. I think it took ch 8 about 45 mins to scroll back around to our church.
Anyway, our house is 70’s era and doesn’t have big garage. It’s two car, but not if they are both SUV/truck size. I let Bonnie have the garage.
I learned something at Promise Keepers, you know?

Art, you are a good man. I hate those small garages. Our house was built three years ago, and although it is not an oversized garage, it is big enough for her SUV, and my small car. Thank goodness!
My pastor, Tom Harrison, is famous for saying, “we will never cancel church. If I can get here, we will have church.” We cancelled Sunday. And Monday’s events were cancelled, and tonight’s too. It was a mess. I hate not getting to go!

Man,
Some guys have all the fun.
Love the truck-just like Walker Texas Ranger.

Sorry Art. Next time buy a chevy. They never freeze up. They laugh at mud, snow and high wind.
