While walking in to the Convention Center in Greensboro, I came alongside some brothers who were, like me, returning from a meal. We talked about where we had eaten and I informed them that I was stuffed. They were quite “topped off” as well.
I then said, with a touch of overt honesty and an attempt at humor, “You know, gluttony is my favorite sin.”
Well, it is.
What’s yours?

I’m really tempted to let a bunch of folks own up to something in this comment log and then, in a manner reminiscent of that corny old joke, to comment at the end claiming gossip as my favorite sin.

Pride.
Must be my favorite, since I am guilty of exercising it all the time.
If this is anyone else’s favorite sin, I strongly suggest reading, copying, and putting in your Bible 50 Fruits of Pride
Very humbling.

As any of you who met me in Greensboro could guess, I have the same favorite sin as Art does.

NO question about it. Coveting Ferraris. Maybe even lusting after one.
I personally hope to stop that by changing it into pride in actually owning one. Guess I don’t have enough faith to do that, yet.

Art is going to get us all in trouble but—-here goes.
Slot-machines. But I never indulge unless I am at least a thousand miles from home. My ultimate test came when the convention was in LV. I passed! I wonder how many did not.

Dear Brother Art,
It is tough to choose from so many, but I suppose gluttony is my favorite also. May God help us to take these things seriously and mortify the flesh.
Love in Christ,
Jeff

Bart – funny
The rest – thanks for playing in an honest way. What’s really funny is that so few commented but so many viewed this page.
Jeff – Being honest about it helps me to deal with it more openly. I actually am praying about what steps I need to take to change my lifestyle as my whole world changes in the move. Thanks for your honesty and heartfelt thoughts.

I’ve been mostly offline lately, so i just found this… Mine is definitely pride, but it causes a host of others. But, that is my favorite. I constantly want to be god.
