Do you know Mike James? He is a buddy of mine now serving at Victory Baptist in Lexington. He's a good man.

I agree wholeheartedly, Tim. At least Dan will still be a Kentucky pastor, and therefore still "around" as they say.

Blessings on you, Tim. I'm off to Oklahoma.

Art,

According to the KBC web site, he will preach in view of a call at Crestwood on July 23. This will be a huge loss for the KBC, but I've heard Dan say several times that he has a pastor's heart. He has worked hard to try to lead KBC churches to become more proactive in evangelism ("go and tell" rather than "come and see"). One of the things I respect most about Dan Garland is that he doesn't ignore small churches. Many denomination leaders seem to have forgotten that most of our churches are small, but not Dan. I'm confident that he will continue to make a positive impact for the Kingdom, whether at Crestwood or at the KBC.
