I ate breakfast with a bunch of Calvinists today. This was my first contact with the Founders group beyond meeting Tom Ascol in Memphis and reading his blog.
This group makes those who make “neo-calvinists” out to be un-evangelistic seem like boorish and silly folks.
Dr. Dever exegeted Romans 9 – 10. First, he is a phenomenal reader of Scripture. Some do this well and some do it poorly. Dever does it with excellence.
Second, he preached the most compelling message encouraging us to win the lost. I was (and am) more challenged by this exegesis than by any number of the “aw shucks” Calvinist bashing sermons.
Every Southern Baptist should engage the Founders Ministry and find out for themselves whi and what they are.
