I hear that Sutton is not going to run for President at the SBC. The reason cited is that they could not get the information to the State Papers quickly enough.
This almost seems like an excuse. It doesn’t add up to me, but it may be just that simple.
The fluid state of Presidential politics at this time is a stark change in the rigid one anointed candidate experiences of the last decade. It tells me that there are many differing opinions within the Powers That Be in the SBC.
I can not attribute this to anything in particular and could cite no one, but I suspect that the Inner Circle is divided in their mind.
What would such a thing mean if it were true? I think it is good news, but not for the reason everyone might think.
Most of my peers would expect me to relish a Joshua – like strategy: Divide and Conquer.
In fact, these men are my brothers, and I celebrate their diversity. Maybe they are more like us than they think. ;)

Art – the “Farnk Page” is a moderate rumor is ramping up big time in Arkansas. They are saying – he was not involved with the resurgance so he is a moderate and wants things to revert back to pre-resurgance. I think this is not true – but this is what is being said.

Tad,
He is no moderate! I interviewed with him last year. TFBC is a happening church. He is a good man and those people who say differently are full of it.

In fact, Tad, I heard this rumor several weeks ago coming from the Gulf Coast states. It is everywhere.
Amazing how well pastors practice Matthew 18, isn’t it?
Kevin is right. He is not a moderate of any stripe.
