I have been looking for a reliable poll, for free, that I could put on my blog. My search has been of and on for a couple of months. Of course, Ben Cole put one on his blog after just a couple of days of it being up. Figures.
Anyway, I tracked his to its source and put one up today. It deals with a few issues in Greensboro. I have heard a range of reasons to travel there and the answers provided represent a few.
One catch all reason has to do with the dissatisfaction of many with the “Inner Circle.” Some may not have one issue that drives them. One thing I have also heard is just a desire to challenge the idea that a few people should be able to guide the convention. Don’t read to much into that answer. I just tried to be succinct.
I’ll post the results in a few days.
By the way, I can’t track who votes or how they vote – so feel free.

Interesting poll…What I think is the most important point of “Going to Greensboro” is the encouragement of cooperation for His Kingdom. We still have thousands of missionaries around the world and here in the U.S. as well as churches who have joined hands as Great Commission partners. So, why I am going to Greensboro? Yes, it is 50 miles from our home, but even more it is that was not true, I would be present to join hands in a stronger and more passionate stance of Kingdom Partners.

Art,
You didn’t make your poll easy. I would like to vote in the order of importance: No.1, Rejecting the “Inner Circle” at every level; No. 2, IMB Issues; No.3, Presidential Election and No. 4 Calvinism.
It seems if we take care of my No. 1 everything else falls into place. Don’t you agree?

Kevin,
I promise no one can.
Michael,
Thank God for you and your attitude. I pray the SBC may soon be filled with it.
ArkRaz,
I do think that, and that is why I put the poll the way I did. Is it one particular issue, or is it the culture of the SBC as a whole?

Art, what happened to the poll? I tried to vote and it said it’s been suspended for a violation of the rules. What’s that? How can you violate the rules? That’s like gettin’ fired on your day off for stealin’ boxes. What you tryin to do – build a clubhouse? (sorry flagrant quote from the movie Friday — I’m just in that kind of mood).
