Primer Revisited

Since the Memphis Declaration, the readership of 12 Witnesses has gone through the roof. This blog averages over 1,000 hits per day now. Before the Memphis Declaration, however, I wrote what Wade Burleson once called the “definitive tome,” simplifying the procedures of the SBC during Greensboro.
As we are getting closer to the SBC Annual Meeting, and closer to some specific deadlines, I thought it might be helpful to remind long time readers of these posts, and inform new readers of them.
Here is a list of those posts:
Primer - Committee on Nominations
As we gather in Greensboro, I am in prayer for God to be glorified willingly by all Southern Baptists as we treat each other with the love and respect that we all deserve as brothers and sisters in Christ.
If we dissent, as is our prerogative as Baptists, let us do so with grace and humility.
I know that I have had strong words, and have defended the strong words of others, concerning the various issues at play within the SBC. I am not asking for our passions to be laid aside, nor am I calling the possession of them ungodly. Some of the actions, however, that are the result of our passions, discredit us and that for which we stand.
We are splintered. Let us still be bound together and cooperate with one another.
