I Am A Missionary…[updated]

TAGS: None

Since I am now selling this design in the store, I am no longer giving it away. Sorry.

Today, I am wearing the t-shirt of our church’s last mission trip – it was to Memphis. We had a phenominal time and incredible experiences sharing Christ with lost children.

The experiences were life changing, as they always are when you are on mission.

I love the words that we put on the shirt. To me, they represent just a slice of the missional heart.

The point that I tried to drive home to our team was that we are always “on mission” and that the lost people that are on God’s heart, and to whom we must go, are across the hall, across the street and across the globe.

As far as I am concerned, it is my responsibility, and the responsibility of every Christian, to go through every open door to reach the lost – no matter how long or how short the trip is through that door.

About the logo above – feel free to download it, change it or keep it the same, and use it yourself – so long as you don’t sell it for a profit! Other than that, it is yours, if you want it.

[update]

This was done in Adobe Photo Elements. If you want the file, so you can edit the background color or the words, or whatever, email me and I will send it to you.

    Art,
If you have any more shirts available, I want one.

    Steve,

Sorry, but those are all gone.

Again, feel free to make one, or a bunch for your church, yourself using that design. Just download it and take it to your local t-shirt shop.

I do have some of a retreat and our “Balloon Crew” shirt where we taught the Youth Group to twist balloons into various animals and shapes and turned them loose on our county festival. They were quite popular, too.

Okay, so we agree on more than BBQ (BEEF ONLY!!).

Great thoughts, and a great logo as well.

Our church is working on putting together a trip to New Orleans to help Jason Sampler with the outstanding work he and his church are doing. I may steal that for a shirt of our own.

    Did I say steal? Borrow – I meant borrow…

    Thanks for sharing this.

How many times did you steal it?

Rick Warren said if you steal it once it is plagerism, twice, research and three times it is genius!

To be clear: The shirt design is mine – so that makes it what? merely creative… right?

the [/update] thing I saw on somebody’s blog. I have no idea how original it was for them.

I just know it took me forever to learn how to create html links in comments and stuff and this reminded me of that.

For those of you who don’t get the [/update] thing…

in html, the computer language (hyper text markup language) in which web pages are written, you have to open and close “tags” to make the computer do certain things. You close the tag with a “”

[/update] mirrors that and makes sense to bloggers as the close of an update.

    Everybody clear as mud?

    Brother Art,

May Jesus be seen in you tomorrow as you preach. That is my prayer for you tonight. May your family be blessed.
